October is always exciting at here at GV, but mostly because October means the return of Good Vibrations Annual Amateur Erotic Film Competition. Last year was amazing. It was our first time trying to put on a competition of this magnitude and we had no idea if people would submit films, if they would be any good, or if anyone would even come to see them. Happily, we were pleasantly surprised on all fronts– we got lots of films, they were totally hot, and we even sold out the Castro Theatre, all this on our first time around! This year we’re back and ready to make the Film Competition be even bigger and better than last year’s, including Live Burlesque, roving GV Goodie Girls, and even more sexy surprises!

We have 8 amazing, local filmmakers excited to show you their talented body of work and ready to fight it out for 3 major Prizes: Superior Filmmaking, Most Creative, and Best Use of a Sex Toy. Without giving too much away (ok, maybe a little), I know several people were a little disappointed last year that no gay films were shown, and the truth is, it was because no one turned in any. This year however, is a whole new show and yes– I think all audiences, straight, gay, and in between will find something to love.

When: Oct. 11th, 2007, doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8PM
Where: Castro Theatre, San Francisco
How much: $12 in advance, $15 at the Door for General Admission
$30 for VIP ticket which includes access to the VIP Party before the screening

This year we’re hosting not ONE but TWO shows at the Parkway Theater in Oakland on Oct 12th at 6:15 and 9:30. You can purchase tickets for the Parkway shows from the Parkway Box Office.
