Shaping San Francisco is an online archive of local histories. The collection of materials began in 1995, and continues to this year through the power of passionate volunteers.
It’s a virtual space online (www.shapingsf.org) as well as a physical one, with computer kiosks at the Main Library, and numerous public demonstrations.
Curious to see how GV’s history faired in the archives, I did a query search of ‘Good Vibrations’ and found it yields the following results: Shaping SF Good Vibrations Search.
If you have a spare moment, take a chance to read through the archives and look back at GV’s earlier years. There’s articles on Feminism, external and internal store images, even a link to video clips of vibrator demonstrations.
