This past Tuesday night Good Vibrations teamed up with Menopause the Musical for an amazing benefit that served to simultaneously raise money for Lyon-Martin and announce the launch of GV’s new line of women’s health and wellness programming, Women Like Me.

Now, I realize there is a huge amount of information in that statement, so I’ll start from the beginning.

Good Vibrations has always been focused on providing accurate sexual information to the masses, but we decided to take that to the next level with a series of programming focused solely on Women’s Health issues. We will be partnering with incredible resources like Lyon-Martin (amazing SF women’s clinic) as well as other local and nation physicians, experts, authors, artists, and so on to bring you information, community, and laughter when it comes to serious women’s issues like menopause, breast health, body image, etc.

Since we love any excuse for a great party, we decided our launch had to be BIG and thankfully the wonderful folks at Menopause the Musical stepped up to help us announce Women Like Me in style in addition to acting as a fundraiser to benefit Lyon-Martin Women’s health services. By the end of the night we had raised over $11,000, made a bunch of new friends, gave out a TON of vibrators and other exciting GV prizes from our Wheel of Pleasure…..but I think the most exciting part for me was getting to meet Megan Cavanagh, which I’m sure you’ll remember as the adorable if not a little awkward “Marla Hooch” from the movie, A League Of Their Own!!!

You also might remember Megan from her many television appearances including Home Improvement, Just Shoot Me, Will & Grace or maybe as Broomhilde from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Not only is she totally funny and talented, but she also loves GV! So be on the look out for some Megan Cavanagh interviews and GVTV spots coming soon!

Here is a picture of us at the Prize Wheel (you can tell I’m just a little excited):
