Have you guys heard about the upcoming Women like Me photoshoots? Its a fabulous campaign where Good Vibrations will be using photographs of real women from all backgrounds to promote positive sexuality & sexual health.
The best part is that YOU, our loyal customers can volunteer to be models! All that you have to do is show up at the Polk street store on Wednesday or Friday night and get your photo taken. We’ll mail you a copy of your picture after the event. There will even be free refreshments served.
If you feel like the face of sexuality has been too narrowly defined, come join us!

Good Vibrations will be starting a new line of Health-Oriented programming in our stores called “Women Like Me”. Through this programming, which will feature in-store events, seminars, and partnering with outside resources like Lyon-Martin, GV will attempt to bring together women from all walks of life who might be going through various health issues such as menopause, breast cancer, body image, etc. and provide them with valuable information and resources as well as a sense of community. To kick off this event we will be creating a photo montage featuring as many different women as possible.
That is where you come in! This week at the Polk Street Store on Wednesday April 25th from 5:30-8PM and Friday April 27th from 5-9PM we will be having a photo shoot for the Women Like Me project. The photos will be used to promote Women Like Me programs and we want to feature women that represent a wide range of ethnicities, ages, sizes, economic backgrounds, etc. So, if you would like to get your photo taken and/or have friends and family that would like to participate please contact Allison in Marketing at: 415-974-8983 x203 and we’ll set up a time. All photo sessions are approximately 10 minutes long and there will be refreshments served. You will also get a copy of your photo from the session (but please be aware they will be sent out to you and will not available the night of the photo shoot).
