That Layne, he’s so damn clever…I was gonna say the thing about all parts of the dream being the dreamer, and go on from there. Layne seems to have nailed it pretty well. But only you can really know what it’s about. In dream groups they begin with “If this were MY dream…” and if it were indeed MY dream I’d be wracking my brain trying to get his pseud, only to realize I’m covering up for what’s *really* bothering me…to be discovered underneath that cotton crotch!

Hi Carol,
I’ll take a shot: Maybe the thing that makes Colbert funny is that he is pretending to be someone he is not, someone with really ludicrous opinions, resembling someone else with famously ludicrous opinions who is not pretending. Following the psychoanalytic maxim (I read somewhere) that everything in a dream is the dreamer, or some part of the dreamer, this can get very confusing, because what part of Carol could this be? The CQ the world sees gains a lot of power from seldom or never pretending to be someone she is not. How can we know who she really is? Only by ripping open the veil that covers her most secret parts? Does this analytic direction ring any bells?

I am going to be in the audience of the Colbert Report quite soon -I am excited!
Sounds like a great dream! LAtely, because of my lack of sleep, I have not remembered any of my dreams.
