First of all let me start off by saying I Love My Job. I am a pleasure pusher! Now in saying that all kind of things may pop into your warped minds, but the real deal is I sell sex toys. Plain and simple. Being apart of the famous Good Vibrations you run across people who want to share their most intimate details with you… in which I say TMI (too much info) folks.
I just returned back last month from a business trip to Las Vegas for the AVN Trade and Award Show. Now don’t get me wrong I am not complaining about seeing beautiful, feminine, models walking around in slinky lingerie…okay pretty much a dream business trip. But the funny thing is the reaction people have who are not in the adult industry. When casually speaking to people at the airport and on the plane usually most people ask are you going for fun or work, seeing how LV is the trade/convention mecca of the nation. When I say work, well you know what the next question is “well what kind of work do you do?” Hahaha, the responses. The spectrum goes from “heehehe thats awesome!” to “oh my God… flight attendant can I move my seat?” People have such a perception of the adult sex industry, so i want to take a few minutes to clear up some misconceptions:
1) No I am not a sex addict
2) No I really don’t care what new position you tried last night
3) No thanks on the totally obsene and inappropriate joke you just told. Have you noticed you are the only one laughing?
4) No I am not a swinger
5) No i don’t believe in smut, but I do believe in a sex positive mentality. Using alternative safe ways in insuring a pleasurable experience for all involved. Beside it is natural and our birthright.
So sorry no sex freak here, just on a mission to provide pleasure and happiness to the world one vibe at a time.
So if you ever meet someone in the adult sex industry in the future, please ask before assuming.

For my own part, a friend suggested that I get a t-shirt made that says “I work in porn” because it would get me more dates. Then I had to consider if I would actually WANT to date any guy who just wanted to date me because I worked in porn..;)
I agree that there is a certain stigma to being in the sex industry that precludes the idea that we can be in that industry and not be sex addicts. I love my job, I love the company I work for and the people I work with. Beyond that, its all just widgets.
