I went this weekend, it was terrific. Getting to see your friends and local celebs perform in their own community is phenomenal. Our own Dr. Carol Queen did a little reading, bondage superstar Madison Young did a live suspension bondage act, author 
Stephen Elliot talked about going vanilla, Kirk Read performed an outstandingly hot and real piece playing tribute to one of S.F’s defunct sex clubs, and Trouble from nofauxxx.com rawked it with her Diamond Beats.
It was amazing to sit around and see all the creativity, insight and support that this event generated. The sex positivity was off the charts. I think I realized that most of my friends do sex work in some way or another and they are all so fabulously artistic. They are playing a different city every night. Talk about endurance. So find out when they are coming to your town. Give your favorite ho-fessional some love.
Here’s a little fact: the National Minimum Wage is ~$5.50 (under 6 bux an hour!). This was set in 1995 (over 10 years ago!?!?!) Yup… so lets think about that before we judge anyone’s occupational field.
