a gift for you.

Oh! I have been so sick. Coughing, sneezing, complaining. No time to write. But, as the title promised, a gift for you:

Online venting at its finest. From our friends at the Traditional Values Coalition, a webpage that lets you send a prayer to President Bush over the internet. Does it get better than that? I don’t think so.

I sent a prayer that his daughters to turn into lesbians and that one day he and all his collegues will cry, drunkenly, with guilt, and that no one would comfort them.

(what I actually sent was the following, a copy of which TVC sent in my email:

i pray that someday, history books will put your picture under a subtitle
that reads: worst president in the history of the united states. i pray
that your daughters both turn into lesbians. i pray that one day you and
your appointees will cry, drunkenly, with guilt at how much pain and
suffering you caused this country, and i pray that no one will comfort you.)

(side note: In reality I pray in a very non-prayer like way; I try to notice as much good as possible during the day, and be thankful for it. (Oh Jameson! You’re killing us with sappy nonsense. But no, it’s true. We are given so much, so much goes unnoticed and underappreciated. To see and accept is another form of prayer, maybe worship, to me.))

I’ve decided that I should try to never wish harm on other people. Thus, my prayer for BushManChild isn’t all that rotten. Homosexuality is grand, and crying with guilt is just, well, logical, if you’re President Bush.

What do you wish for him? What do you need to say before the year is done and your resolution to be a better person prevents you from dirty prayers?

Back to hacking up a lung or two,
jameson.

Oh yes, you’re such a virtuous and good person, praying for pain and sorry for another.
