Judah and Judi B. continue their Q & A about gay boy and gay girl sex….

Judah: If toys are used, is “realism” a bad thing, i.e. should it NOT look like a penis?

JB: Interesting question. I know some women who really don’t want veins and balls on their dildos. It kinda freaks them out. My feeling is, it really doesn’t matter….size and angle is more important than the actual exterior aesthetics of the dildo. I mean, I’m not really going to be staring at it….not for long, anyway. And in my experience, the balls make a great handle. I’ve never personally heard any of my friends say, “I want the most-real looking dildo you carry,” but that doesn’t mean that dykes wouldn’t want that…especially if they’re into getting blowjobs and the whole fantasy element of gender play.

JB: Are most gay boys into purely ass sex or is that a myth?

Judah: I think we should call in the Mythbusters on this one (can you imagine Adam & Jamie testing this one out?) Some guys like ass, others aren’t really into it—it’s like any other sexual activity on the spectrum. One might postulate that ass sex is more ‘intimate’ than a blow job, but who’s supposed to make that judgment call? That’s not my (our) job.

Judah: Is using a harness a big hassle, or what?

JB: Well, you can look at it that way, or you can make it a hot part of your sex. Watching someone put on a harness can be a huge turn-on. Especially when they ask you to pick out the accompanying dildo! Or, it’s totally hot to disappear into the bathroom under the pretense that you’re brushing your teeth and then you crawl into bed, with…surprise!…a little bit of hardware.
Technically speaking, sometimes in the heat of the moment, buckles and rings can be a bit of a pain. But, I think of it as “time to mix a cocktail” or “let the dog out”….the break in the action can be part of extended foreplay.

JB: Are a lot of boys into ‘stretching’ or fisting?

Judah: If you believe everything you see while window shopping on Castro or Folsom St, then Yes. Otherwise, no. because a larger percentage of gay guys are probably more knowledgeable about their buttholes than straight guys (sorry, guys, I’m generalizing here), there’s most likely more experimentation in this, ahem, area, hence more fisting/fingering/probing than the general population (but not more than lesbians, if I read your (upcoming) blog posting correctly)

Stay tuned for the final (and quite exciting) episode of Pot & Kettle Q & A, coming soon to a GV blog near you.
